I Start with 13 Hidden Traits Chapter-336

Ch-336. **How Far Do You Plan to Evolve?**

Minerals said to exist—yet of which no one has ever claimed to have obtained even a single piece.

People called them **supermetals**.

Among them, **orichalcum** was the most representative. It was so impossible to obtain that everyone only knew its name.

It was also one of the reasons countless adventurers risked their lives exploring damp, lightless swamps and unreachable dungeons.

If one were to find even a single vein containing supermetals, it wouldn’t just be a jackpot—it would be, quite literally, a *super* jackpot.

And the reason people craved supermetals wasn’t merely because they were rare.

*They are the materials required for ultra–high-grade equipment that cannot be crafted due to the lack of materials. With outstanding mana conductivity, they are believed to play a revolutionary role in the creation and advancement of magical tools—that’s what supermetals are.*

They were truly all-purpose minerals.

Give them to blacksmiths, and they would hammer away in tears.

Give them to mages of the magic towers, and they would lock themselves in their laboratories for all 365 days of the year, trembling with excitement.

And yet now—

Right before my eyes—

Was supermetal orichalcum.

Grrk. Grrrrk.

Like a snake, **Dianax** finished shedding its skin and circled around me.

It had four legs and a long tail.

The adorable appearance of the Baby Hydragon was gone, but in its place was a dignity it had never possessed before.

As I stared intently at it, a window appeared.

<Status Window>

Name: Dianax (Grade 10)

Trait (1): A special evolution derived from Baby Hydragon

Trait (2): Boss monsters possess two additional traits compared to normal individuals

Trait (3): Power Up (Upon entering combat, Strength increases by 10 for 5 minutes)

Trait (4): Armor Break (When mineral armor is destroyed, Vitality and Defense decrease for a period of time while Agility increases)

<Stats>

Strength: 61
Vitality: 83
Agility: 44
Intelligence: 35
Mana: 52

Skills: Vital Bite and Tear (Max), Gem Beam (Lv.1)

At a glance, it was on a completely different level.

New traits had appeared, and its overall stats had increased significantly.

A transformation truly worthy of being called *evolution*.

Grrk?

Dianax tilted its head, having read the look in my eyes.

It seemed to sense that my greed outweighed my joy at its evolution.

But who wouldn’t covet it?

That body.

A walking mass of supermetal orichalcum.

*…Just off the top of my head, I can think of at least ten ultra–high-grade pieces of equipment that could be made from orichalcum.*

And every single one of them would be a masterpiece that would make you shout *Eureka!* the moment it was completed.

So of course, I was curious.

Curious to the point of madness.

*Does the ore regenerate too?*

Dianax’s skin itself was orichalcum ore.

I was genuinely curious whether orichalcum would regenerate under a natural regeneration rate exceeding fifty thousand percent.

Pure academic curiosity…

No.

I admit it.

What I felt right now was nothing but unfiltered greed.

But it couldn’t be helped.

If regeneration were possible—if orichalcum farming became feasible—

And if knights equipped with orichalcum-crafted gear began to appear…

*Just imagining it is terrifying.*

That sight alone would be enough to send shivers down one’s spine.

Even equipping only the gear I personally needed would turn me into an insurmountable wall.

Of course, other materials would be necessary as well—but the most important supermetal was already right in front of me.

The problem was that I couldn’t just rip it off openly.

*If I do that, our bond level will probably drop.*

Bond was important when raising pets.

Especially since this wasn’t an ordinary *Soul*.

And with 200% sensory sharing, I would suffer excruciating pain as well.

But no amount of pain could stop my greed.

After organizing my thoughts, I spoke.

“Good work.”

Grrk! Grrrrk!

“Alright then—shall we head off to defeat the next *boss* right away?”

Grrk?

“Don’t worry. We’re one. There’s nothing dangerous. Just trust me and follow.”

What’s yours is mine, and what’s mine is also mine—
a true unity of body and soul.

*

*

GRAAAAH!

Dianax let out a scream.

It happened right after we skipped two stages at once and challenged the **Metal Mantis Boss**.

A massive mantis gleaming with a silvery sheen.

A monster with grotesque attack power, instantly piercing through Dianax’s defenses!

Clatter! Clatter!

At the same time, Dianax’s skin—supermetal orichalcum—began falling to the ground.

《Critical damage received from ‘Metal Mantis Boss (Grade 17).’》
《Skin torn away regenerates due to ‘Supernatural Regeneration.’》
《Power Up! Strength +10 for 5 minutes!》
《Armor Break! Agility +5 for 5 minutes!》

And every time Dianax’s skin was torn away, my own skin split and tore as well.

“Ugh…”

Even I—someone who shrugged off most pain—couldn’t ignore agony transmitted at double intensity.

But I couldn’t just groan and do nothing.

I quietly moved in and began picking up the **orichalcum**.

GRAAAAAH!

Meanwhile, empowered and accelerated by stacked Power Up and Armor Break effects, Dianax counterattacked—

KIIYAAA!

Only for the Metal Mantis Boss’s sharp claws to rake across Dianax’s skin once more.

Clatter!

With a refined metallic sound, more orichalcum fell to the ground.

《Skin torn away regenerates due to ‘Supernatural Regeneration.’》
《Armor Break! Agility +5 for 5 minutes!》

My eyes widened as I picked up the orichalcum.

*…Armor Break stacks?*

A bonus applied when mineral armor was destroyed.

But because destruction and regeneration occurred simultaneously, the buff stacked.

Normally, buffs like this didn’t stack—but perhaps because Dianax was a summoned *Soul*, it wasn’t bound by conventional restrictions.

At most, the effect lasted five minutes.

But—

*We can win this.*

To be honest, I hadn’t challenged this fight with victory in mind.

This was merely hardship endured for the sake of orichalcum farming.

After all, we had skipped two entire tiers—this boss outclassed Dianax by an absurd margin.

Even among bosses, there was a seven-grade difference.

But—

The fact that buffs could stack meant one thing.

*Under the right conditions, even absurd gaps can be overcome.*

…This was a kind of *bug play*.

I initiated a bond command with Dianax.

*Endure!*

Grrk?!

Dianax let out a startled cry as it sensed my will.

But this was only the beginning.

SLASH! SLASH! SLAAASH!

《Critical damage received from ‘Metal Mantis Boss (Grade 17).’》
《Critical damage received from ‘Metal Mantis Boss (Grade 17).’》
《Critical damage received from ‘Metal Mantis Boss (Grade 17).’》

《‘Dianax’ mental endurance has reached its limit.》
《Bond level with ‘Dianax’ decreases.》

GRAAAH!

Dianax screamed repeatedly.

I was suffering just as much.

Even if regeneration was possible, repeating it endlessly would eventually break the mind.

But in exchange, I gained something undeniable.

《Armor Break! Agility +5 for 5 minutes!》
《Armor Break! Agility +5 for 5 minutes!》
《Armor Break! Agility +5 for 5 minutes!》

Fifteen stacks in an instant.

By simple calculation, that was **+75 Agility**.

*This is it.*

Agility affected movement speed, correction bonuses, and critical chance.

Surpassing 100 Agility granted mobility beyond imagination.

GRRR!

In the blink of an eye, Dianax evaded the Metal Mantis Boss’s attack.

Then, moving at more than double its previous speed, it coiled tightly around the mantis’s body.

Climbing up along its form, Dianax reached the mantis’s head and opened its mouth wide.

HOOOOOO—

《‘Gem Beam’ fired.》
《Critical!》
《Penetration activated.》
《Damage +120%!》
《Additional damage to boss monsters +20%!》
《‘Metal Mantis Boss’ has received fatal damage!》

SHAAAA!

The Metal Mantis Boss’s body began melting away.

Before long, its screams faded.

At the same time—

《‘Dianax’ has successfully hunted the ‘Metal Mantis Boss.’》
《Mysterious Achievement ‘Hunting a Boss with a 5+ Grade Gap within 1 Hour’ achieved.》
《Mysterious Achievement ‘Supersonic Dash’ achieved.》
《Total EXP gain +500%.》
《‘Dianax’ grade increased to Grade 14.》
《Proficiency efficiency +2,100%.》
《Unique skill ‘Gem Beam’ has reached Level 8.》
《‘Dianax’ acquires skill ‘Pain Endurance.’》
《Bond level with ‘Dianax’ increases by 2 stages.》

Phew!

I let out a low whistle.

The fallen orichalcum easily amounted to over twenty kilograms.

*This is insane.*

Selling it directly could buy an entire city.

At auction, I couldn’t even begin to estimate the price.

But this was only the beginning.

*…Infinite farming is possible.*

My eyes gleamed.

I was not the type to be satisfied with just this.

Using buff stacking as an excuse to hunt, I would gather orichalcum endlessly.

Grr… grk?

Dianax suddenly shuddered, as if struck by an inexplicable chill.

*

*

Farming was always enjoyable.

Even more so when it involved supermetal orichalcum—said to be unobtainable.

Pain, sorrow—before the ever-growing pile of orichalcum, they were meaningless.

But all enjoyment eventually comes to an end.

*The amount of orichalcum is gradually decreasing.*

Hundreds of mineral armor destructions.

And with each, the amount of ore produced diminished.

This too seemed to be part of evolution.

But that was fine.

What I had gathered so far was more than enough.

Inside my **Magic Leather Pouch**, capable of holding infinite capacity, nearly a ton of orichalcum had already been stored.

*So this is what it feels like to be full without eating.*

It had been a long time since I farmed like this.

It felt like returning to my pure gamer days.

Wasn’t this the very essence of a true role-playing game?

I continued hunting with Dianax, losing track of time.

How long had we been hunting like that?

《Bond level with ‘Dianax (Grade 25)’ has reached maximum.》

《‘Soul Resonance’ begins.》

《Runes engraved on the ‘Monster Soul’ are also engraved upon the user’s body.》

《Current rarity of ‘Dianax’s Soul’: Supreme.》

《‘Dianax’ begins evolution in accordance with the user’s alignment.》

《Evolved into the Divine Beast ‘Angel Behemoth’ (Ultra-Supreme rarity)!》

《‘Angel Behemoth (Grade 25, Divine Beast, Light Attribute, Raid Boss)’ possesses four additional traits.》

RUMBLE—!

Dianax’s body expanded dozens of times, becoming a Behemoth nearly five meters tall.

*Angel Behemoth?*

Behemoths were typically monsters of **dark alignment**.

Gorilla-like bodies, black fur, elephantine faces—
monsters among monsters that tore everything apart indiscriminately.

Yet the **Angel Behemoth** before me had white fur and a ring of light hovering above its head.

I had never seen such a species.

I had never even heard of its existence.

But it wasn’t just the colossal body of the Angel Behemoth that caught my eye.

*That…*

…There was something else.

*Could that be Star Ivory?*

Another farming material.

I didn’t know of Angel Behemoths—but I did know items made from that ivory.

*The primary material for holy relics…*

At that realization, I was left speechless once again.

And not merely because I had found Star Ivory.

Dianax—and now Angel Behemoth—

They had evolved into forms I had never known existed.

I had found supermetals, and the primary materials for holy relics thought impossible to create.

And this still wasn’t the end.

If each evolution continued to raise its rarity further and further…

*Just how far do you plan to evolve?*

…I couldn’t even begin to imagine what awaited at the end of that path.

An Important Update Regarding Our Release Schedule

Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out today to share some honest news regarding the future of our translation schedule. I truly love bringing these stories to you, but to keep this site running sustainably, I’ve had to make some difficult decisions.

The Change

Starting this week, we will be transitioning from 10 unlocked chapters per week to 5 chapters per week, released every Thursday and Friday.

Why This Is Happening

To be transparent with you, the site is currently going through a few difficult hurdles:

  • Sustainability: With our daily traffic hovering between 100–200 visitors, the ad revenue has remained very low—only about $10 over the past four months. Unfortunately, this isn’t enough to cover even the basic costs of running the site.
  • DMCA & Hosting Challenges: On top of that, we’ve also been dealing with DMCA-related issues. Because of this, we’ve had to frequently change our servers and hosting providers, which has been quite stressful and has made it difficult to maintain stability. I’ll try to share the official takedown notice as well, if it’s still available in my account.
  • Support & Engagement Balance: As a large number of chapters became available at once, some potential supporters never felt the need to contribute, while others lost their reading momentum or interest midway. This has unfortunately become another challenge for us.

This site continues to stay alive only because of the incredible generosity and belief of our supporters who choose to contribute financially. We are deeply grateful—your support is not just helpful, it is truly what keeps everything going.

I truly value every person who spends time reading here. I want to make sure you still have plenty of content to enjoy as we adjust to this new rhythm.

As a gesture of appreciation for your patience and support, I am permanently unlocking a significant portion of our library:

I hope these extra chapters give you plenty to dive into while we settle into our new schedule.

Thank you for understanding, for sticking with these stories, and for being part of this community.
