Ch-355. **World Tree Community**
—
Up until now, I had overcome countless trials and received innumerable rewards.
But an experience like thisâone that truly made your *eyes spin*âwas a first.
There were an overwhelming number of names Iâd never seen before.
And even the names I *did* recognize, or could at least inferâ
*Source of Mana, Ouroboros, Purity, CourageâŠ*
âwere enough to make it feel like stepping into an entirely new world.
One thing was certain.
*None of these items had ever appeared in Pangaenia.*
Some of the names had been mentioned before, yesâbut never the items themselves.
Because of that, it was impossible to judge their grades at a glance.
Still, these rewards appeared after conquering a *Primordial-grade* dungeon.
Naturally, I could tell at first sight that they were far more noble and exalted than any ordinary âUnique-gradeâ item.
*At the very leastâVoid(Zero) grade!*
The grade system that existed in Pangaenia.
Unlike the game, there were slight differences between grades when they manifested in reality.
For example, Void grade, Out-of-Standard grade, and Primordial grade didnât even exist in the game.
As such, the actual existing grades I had identified were, in order:
**Normal â Legendary â Mythic â Unique â Supreme Unique â Void â Primordial â Out-of-Standard**
*However, Void, Primordial, and Out-of-Standard grades donât differ drastically in raw performance. Depending on their usage, one can be betterâor worse.*
From Void grade onward, the options they carried were utterly beyond imagination.
But even moving up to higher grades didnât automatically make them âbetter.â
Instead, they were *specialized*.
Primordial armor, the Gloves of Omen and Ash,
Randolph of Eternal Mystery that destroys mysteries beyond standard,
the Martial Godâ
And even the Void-grade ring I currently possessed, **âRadiant Purebloodâs Aspect,â** all exhibited absurd performance within their respective domains, each with an unshakably defined purpose.
Which meant that the hundred items now displayed in the list were allâ
*Relics possessing abilities that had never existed before.*
Treasures whose value couldnât even be quantified.
I had already gained plenty just by clearing the dungeon, yet the rewards were pouring down like a tidal wave, to the point I could barely think straight.
And this reward list was clearly different from anything that had appeared before.
*âAll constellations of every Baekseongjeon gathered their starlightâŠâ*
Isnât that wording a little strange?
Not *all constellations of the Baekseongjeon*, but *constellations of all Baekseongjeons*.
It sounded as if multiple Baekseongjeons had pooled their power.
That wasnât the only strange thing.
*Thereâs no reaction from the constellations like there always was when a quest was cleared. There were even times they refused to give rewards despite transcendent performance.*
Constellations used their own starlight to prepare rewards.
When they exhausted it, they disappeared.
Depending on the outcome of a trial, they sometimes reactedâor even offered me deals.
But now there was nothing.
No reaction. No proposal.
And preparing rewards of this scale would require an enormous amount of starlight.
Which meantâ
*I have thought before that there might be multiple The Hall of the Hundred Constellations.*
After all, unfamiliar constellations had once rushed in to propose Apostle contracts.
I had considered the possibility that there were multiple The Hall of the Hundred Constellationsâor far more constellations than expected.
They had even proposed deals just to create Unique-grade or higher rewards.
And now there were *a hundred* options, far beyond that.
*Everyone is desperate for me to choose their rewardâŠ*
I stroked my chin.
The choice of reward might be far more important than Iâd thought.
If they had silently agreed to simply present rewards and wait for my selectionâŠ
Noâperhaps it was a test.
A test of my discernment.
Whoâs to say they hadnât mixed low-quality items among flashy names?
âŠBut no matter how I looked at it, the items were filled with utterly unique proper nouns.
*Ouroboros. A star name that has never once appeared.*
Especially Ouroboros.
I myself bore a mark related to it.
The **Mark of Ouroboros**, which increased vitality and natural regeneration, and granted the *Indomitable* effectâallowing endurance even beyond pain limits.
But the true identity of that name was a *star*.
One of the thirty-two stars of the shattered Leah.
A super-named star of extremely high rank that had never once appeared.
Likely of an even higher order than Isabellaâs **Jormungandr**.
To present the proper noun itself suggested they might be offering the *Star of Ouroboros* outright.
*Purity, Courage⊠concepts that stand in direct opposition to sin.*
And that wasnât all.
The other rewards with unique names were no less formidable.
Each one was impossible to treat lightly.
My dilemma only deepened.
*This is hard.*
I simply couldnât choose.
A single selection.
One reward.
No matter how incredible it might be, if it didnât suit me, it was no better than trash.
Then a thought flashed through my mind.
*The Constellation of the Most Brilliant Hero. He would know what reward I needâand want.*
Among all constellations, I had the deepest connection with him.
The Constellation of the Most Brilliant Hero.
The one who watched my story, subscribed to Randolph, and never held back his support.
Just as he had once guided me to choose **Winter (The Final Twilight)** as a reward, it was possible he was deeply involved even now.
*If only I could communicate with him.*
That was when it happened.
ăNotice. âWorld Tree Communityâ has been opened.ă
ăWithin the âWorld Tree Community,â you may communicate directly with constellations anonymously.ă
ăBy using âFragments of the Golden Scale,â you may ask questions and receive answers from constellations.ă
ăThe more fragments used, the higher the participation rate of the constellations.ă
ăOnce youâve obtained a satisfactory answer, please adopt it. Failure to do so may reduce divine participation.ă
ăHowever, be advised: not all constellation answers are correct.ă
ăAdditionally, within the âWorld Tree Community,â you may purchase accumulated know-howââGuides.âă
ăOr sell your own âGuidesâ at an appropriate price.ă
ăGuides are protected by a secrecy oath and may only be used by the purchaser.ă
ăViolation of the oath will result in severe penalties and restriction of access to the âWorld Tree Community.âă
A sudden announcement.
*What the hell is thisâŠ*
âŠCome to think of it, I vaguely recalled seeing something related.
It must have been buried beneath the flood of messagesâbut I never imagined *this* was its purpose.
I decided to use it immediately.
ăYou have entered the âWorld Tree Community.âă
ăYou are the first to enter the âWorld Tree Community.âă
ăAchievement acquired: âFirst Entrant.âă
ă1 Sanctification has been added.ă
ăPlease set a nickname to use within the âWorld Tree Community.âă
A nickname?
So I was supposed to participate under a pseudonym?
I stroked my chin.
A place to communicate with gods.
If all awakeners could use itâŠ
ăWould you like to use the nickname âKingOfKingsâ?ă
âAhâŠâ
No. Definitely not.
I hesitated for a moment.
Iâd created countless characters, but naming them was always the hardest part.
After some thought, I chose again.
ăWould you like to use the nickname âPhantomâ?ă
I nodded lightly.
This, at least, was close to my true identity.
ăWelcome, âPhantom.âă
ăLoading menu.ă
ă1. Ask the Constellationsă
ă2. View Answerer Rankingsă
ă3. View Guides (0)ă
ă4. Write a Guideă
Surprisingly simple.
Only four boards were visible.
I immediately selected **Ask the Constellations**.
ăYou may post a question to the constellations using between 0 and unlimited fragments of the Golden Scale.ă
ăAll questions are kept confidential.ă
How many hoursâ worth of fragments should I stake?
I shrugged and assigned the amount.
ăâPhantomâ is composing a question using 0 hoursâ worth of Golden Scale fragments.ă
âŠIf my assumption was right, there was no need to stake anything.
They all wanted me to choose *their* reward.
ăQuestion Title: There are too many rewards. What should I choose?ă
ăQuestion Content: Among ăNine Nightsă, ăSource of Manaă, ăFeather of an Outer Godă, ăTwo Moonsă, ăStone of Tananushă, ăCompleted Star Mapă, ăJurnâs Jewelă, ăOuroborosă, ăPrimordial Arrowă, ăPurityă, ăCourageă⊠which should I choose, and why?ă
I listed all one hundred names from the reward list.
Soâhow would the constellations respond?
For a while, there was no reaction.
*Was zero hours too stingy?*
Maybe I shouldâve staked at least one hour out of courtesy.
That was whenâ
ăDing! A reply has arrived from the âImmortal Constellation of Nine Nightsâ!ă
Nine Nights.
A constellation bearing the same name as one of the rewards had appeared.
I immediately checked the response.
ăImmortal Constellation of Nine Nights (Minor): Pick Nine Nights without question. Pass through the Nine Nights while holding it, and you shall obtain the authority of immortality!ă
Not exactly politeâbut not bad advice.
Yet something felt off.
*Heâs telling me to become his Apostle.*
Obviously, that was the plan.
The authority of immortality was temptingâbut hadnât I already learned, by watching the *Forgotten Gods*, that immortality alone wasnât the answer?
*Is the âMinorâ tag a rank for answering gods?*
If so, did adoption raise their rank?
Assigning ranks to constellationsâwhat an amusing idea.
And from that moment onâ
ăDing! A reply has arrived from the âMost Cruel Night Constellationâ!ă
ăDing! A reply has arrived from the âDeeply Contemplating Prayer Constellationâ!ă
ăDing! A reply has arrived from the âConstellation of the Originâ!ă
Replies poured in endlessly.
So many that I couldnât even read them all.
Even the constellation names were anything but ordinary.
Beings that didnât feel safe to ignore.
Then, after some timeâ
ăDing! A reply has arrived from the âConstellation of the Most Brilliant Heroâ!ă
âŠAt last.
The response I had been waiting for.
And it seemed to be the first time we were properly communicating like this.
ăConstellation of the Most Brilliant Hero (Minor): Greetings, Phantom.ă
I smiled.
Just as I was glad to see himâhe seemed glad as well.
ăConstellation of the Most Brilliant Hero (Minor): And thank you. Your story always makes me tremble. I have much I wish to say, but my allotted space is limited, so I apologize in advance for keeping this brief.ă
It did seem that answers couldnât be long.
Even other constellationsâ replies were all under five lines.
Perhaps reply length depended on rank.
I continued reading his message.
Though only a single line remained.
ăConstellation of the Most Brilliant Hero (Minor): Choose the Feather of an Outer God.ă
Lovely
