Ch-38. **Completion of Myth**
—
The first trial that appeared was ten thousand skeleton soldiers of the same level as me.
Next came ten thousand skeleton soldiers with the Hidden Trait of “Void.”
‘It’s related to my racial value.’
There was no way this was a coincidence.
There was definitely a deep connection between the “racial values” I’d seen upon entering and the trials themselves.
If so, what will appear in the next trial?
‘Giant, Druid, Celestial.’
The first trial was probably a straightforward test related to “Corpse Crows.”
A battle against corpses naturally connects to the Corpse Crow.
That leaves three.
Giant (10), Druid (10), Celestial (20).
If the difficulty is added according to the numbers attached to each race’s value, then Giant and Druid should be comparable to Void.
Something that can be broken through with planning and strategy.
The compounding effect is murderous, but not without a way forward.
‘The problem is the Celestial.’
The Celestial alone is worth 20 points.
Just what is a Celestial supposed to be?
Weren’t Celestials of the Divine Realm and Demons of the Demon Realm supposed to be tied to that?
But I didn’t think their racial values would be higher than that of Giants.
Giants were the mighty race that guarded the goddess.
According to myth, some giants possessed force comparable to gods themselves.
‘It might be something entirely different from what I’m thinking.’
Which meant “Celestial” might be something completely outside my expectations.
I would have to consider even the possibility that it had nothing to do with the Celestial or Demon Realms at all.
‘Either way, I’ll know when I reach the trial.’
The trials continued to stack racial traits onto the skeleton soldiers.
Once I reached the Celestial’s trial, the outline of the truth would reveal itself.
By then, I’d have some grasp on what “Celestial” actually is.
But before that, two preliminary obstacles had to be cleared.
Giants, Druids.
‘Void added Light attribute to the skeleton soldiers. Giants will add magic resistance, and Druids will certainly add something related to spirits.’
Carefully.
Before stepping into the next trial, I made sure to think it through.
I pictured how the skeleton soldiers would act with those extra abilities.
At the same time, I rechecked my own altered abilities.
Even combining all that for my calculations and movements would likely still be insufficient.
<The level of “Skeleton Soldier” matches the challenger’s level.>
<“Skeleton Soldier” gains an opposing attribute through “Void.”>
<“Skeleton Soldier” will gain the traits of “Giant.”>
Having finished preparing, I challenged the next trial.
As I passed through the newly generated warp, what lay beyond looked no different from the terrain I had seen so far.
Barren land.
Cliffs scattered throughout.
And—
“…….”
Ten thousand skeleton soldiers.
But my brow did not relax.
“…This is the worst. Caw.”
The skeleton soldiers were huge.
Just like giants—huge.
They didn’t merely add the Giant’s magic resistance. They just turned them into giants outright.
…I was screwed.

“…….”
Isaac stared blankly at the tower.
An impossible sight—something so beyond reason that he had to abandon thought itself.
And he wasn’t the only one reacting that way.
The monsters of Cramdel gathered one by one around the tower.
The light waves emitted by the Tower of Mystery had grown so intense that now all of Cramdel could see the phenomenon.
The Hall of Mysteries was a place every being in Cramdel visited at least once.
Yet never once had the tower shown anything like this before.
Countless monsters gathered out of curiosity, turning their attention to the tower’s change.
“The ring of light…”
“Who on earth is undertaking the tower’s trial?”
“How powerful must they be?”
At the very top of the endlessly rising tower, a round golden ring had appeared.
What began as a single ring soon became two.
The two rings scattered even more light, leaving the monsters dazed.
“…It is the final trial that only a ‘Transcendent Species’ can receive.”
Just then—
A beast lumbered forward and spoke loudly enough for all to hear.
Every step it took caused the ground to part, forming a path.
The busy area around the Tower of Mystery split like the Red Sea.
A mythical beast resembling a cow, yet covered in porcupine-like quills—**Gunggi**.
A fearsome existence with a tiger-like face, hook-shaped claws, and wings sprouting from its forelegs.
Even other monsters feared Gunggi, and now it looked up at the tower with a tense expression.
“Transcendent species? Like a myth-class or a phantom-class?”
“What is that?”
The monsters, unfamiliar with the concept, tilted their heads.
The very idea of a Transcendent Species was foreign to them.
“One who surpasses the limits of their species. Here in Cramdel, only the White King has ever cleared that trial.”
“!!!”
“T-then someone is undergoing the same trial the White King once faced?”
“Someone like that is inside the tower right now?”
All eyes widened in disbelief.
For who was the White King?
He was the god of the North.
The guardian of Cramdel, the absolute ruler.
No human, no lord of the Abyss, not even the celestials dared step into the North so long as the White King existed.
Even mythic or phantom species bowed before him.
And yet someone possessing the same category as the White King was taking the tower’s trial?
*Gulp.*
‘Impossible…’
‘And if it’s true—this is bad.’
Everyone watching the tower grew tense.
Cramdel was called the paradise of monsters because of the White King. None dared cause trouble under his gaze.
But now a being of the same class had entered the tower to undergo the trial.
If that being emerged—
Cramdel’s peace could collapse.
Even if that didn’t happen, the delicate balance of power in Cramdel would surely break.
‘In the Trial of Myth, the White King created three rings.’
Gunggi stared at the tower’s summit.
The golden rings encircling the tower represented “Myth Completion.”
Even the mighty White King formed only three rings before leaving the tower.
Since then, no one had ever opened the Hall of Mysteries again.
Which was why this phenomenon was so bewildering.
‘Two…’
And now the tower was surrounded by two rings.
Still short of the White King’s completion.
But even two were astounding—it meant the challenger had already passed two stages of a trial only Transcendent Species could attempt.
Soon enough, they would see which monster emerged from the tower and identify the one undergoing the trial.
“Th-three!”
“There are three rings now!”
…but it still wasn’t over.
‘Three rings?!’
Gunggi’s eyes widened. The rings had increased to three.
Which meant the challenger had broken through the same triple-stage trial as the White King.
Impossible. It should not—*could not*—happen.
Ssshhhhhh!
At that moment—
“T-the sky!”
“Medusa’s Eye is…!!”
“H-huh?!”
A massive Medusa’s Eye appeared in the heavens.
The fact it wasn’t hidden meant Medusa had gathered all her “eyes” here.
Meaning she was giving unprecedented attention to something she hadn’t interfered with in years.
The moment the third ring formed, she couldn’t ignore it.
One of the four beasts said to be the White King’s closest aides.
One of the practical rulers of Cramdel.
For her to show this level of interest—this had never happened.
“What…what on earth is happening inside that tower?”
“Who is it?”
“Surely the strongest, most terrifying existence.”
“Someone monstrous enough to surpass all species.”
“Yes. It must be an overwhelmingly dreadful creature.”
The monsters speculated endlessly about the one taking the tower’s trial.
But they could not imagine it.
Just what kind of monstrous being was going through the trial?
How vicious, how terrifyingly powerful must they be to draw both Medusa’s and Gunggi’s full attention…?

BOOM!
Rumble!
Bang! Bang! KWA-A-A-ANG!
“……”
I simply watched the skeleton soldiers topple like dominoes before me.
Giant skeleton soldiers, each reaching about 10 meters in height.
If they swung their arms or fired arrows of light, there’d be no way to survive.
But at some point, the giant skeleton soldiers began collapsing one by one.
Once the one at the very front fell, it triggered a chain reaction, knocking down all the ones behind it in a cascade of shattering bones.
‘Ah. The level.’
Only then did I realize.
Those giants were also level **4**.
Their stats were far too low to support such massive bodies.
Even with opposing attributes and enlarged frames, their level was still just 4.
A level 4 has limits no matter what.
Even if you max out strength, stamina, and magic, you can’t exceed 40.
It was nowhere near enough to support or move a giant’s body.
Let alone hold up the collapsing weight of the ones in front.
Bang! Bang! Bang! KWA-A-A-ANG!
“…….”
I stared blankly at the spectacle.
Absurd. No matter how I tried to think about it, it was absurd.
‘…Lucky me.’
Unlike the first two trials, the third one was free. A bonus stage.
Would the fourth and fifth be the same?
Either way, the Giant trait would remain.
With level 4 stats, they would definitely struggle with their weight and collapse.
Well, the designer probably never imagined someone like me would challenge this.
Even I hadn’t predicted this outcome.
‘Will they refuse to give me a reward for clearing it too easily?’
Honestly, it worried me.
I truly hadn’t done anything.
A trial is meant to be a process where the challenger hits their limits and breaks through.
I had neither struggled nor broken through, so it would make sense to withhold the reward.
《You have cleared Trial of the Species Wall (3).》
《As a reward, you may acquire the Transcendent-Mythic Mystery “Primordial Giant.”》
《Will you acquire it?》
《If you refuse, you will proceed to a higher trial.》
…Thank goodness.
At least they counted it as cleared.
‘After Ultimate comes Transcendent.’
What comes after Transcendent?
Even I was getting curious.
《You have refused the Mystery “Primordial Giant.”》
I had come too far to turn back.
If I stopped here, I would never be satisfied.
So—damned if I don’t, damned if I do.
The third trial was practically free, leaving only the Druid and Celestial trials.
Especially with my burning curiosity about the Celestial, I had no intention of stopping.
《The challenger proceeds to a higher trial.》
《Achievement unlocked: “Challenger on the Verge of Completing Myth.”》
《All constellations of Baekseongjeon are dumbfounded.》
